Security FAQ

Q: Why do you need my Social Security Number?
A: You will be asked to provide your entire Social Security Number in two instances, during registration and if you forget your user name, so that we can verify your identity and provide you with a User Name. Thereafter, you will not need to enter your Social Security Number. The connection is secure and transmission of your Social Security Number is encrypted.

Q: Why do I have to enter the code from the box?
A: Entering the code helps prevent automated programs from abusing this service. Enter the text exactly as it appears as the code is case sensitive.
If you are not sure what the code is, either enter your best guess or click the "Show Another" link and a new code will appear.

Q: Can you help me choose a Password?
A: Follow these guidelines:
Choose a password that is memorable for you, but difficult for others to guess (Ex. Do not use your family members names). Change your password from time to time and never use the same password that you have used in the past. Do not share your password with anyone.

You can change your password after you register by visiting the Manage Profile link.

We may ask you to answer one of the Security Questions you chose at registration as an additional measure of security when performing certain functions on the site, such as changing your Password or retrieving a forgotten User Name. You may also be asked your question when logging in from a different computer or using a different web browser (for example, Internet Explorer or Firefox).
